Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:
The Respiratory Ancillary Supervisor will be accountable for Respiratory, Pulmonary Function Laboratory, Bronchoscopy Services and Neurophysiology Services (based on pavilion needs). Coordinate staff and workload to ensure safe patient care. Schedule and assign areas of responsibility for staff. Maintain open lines of communication with physicians and nurses. Monitoring the staff performance, technical skills and competencies. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain personal competence on equipment and procedures to personally assume a workload as needed. Assists the Director in maintaining the department's financial management, operational metrics and strategic planning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the
advisory board.

Licensure/Certification:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program - from American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) ' (Pavilion Based) Preferred
Respiratory Care Practitioner - Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board
Registered Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care
Reg Pulmonary Function Technol or CPFT within one year of hire (Pavilion Based) Preferred
Electroencephalographic Certification - (Pavilion Based) Preferred

Work Experience: Five (5) years of work experience in related clinical area of practice.

Management Experience: One (1) year management experience of progressive supervisory experience or experience in a lead role within Respiratory/Pulmonary

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports

Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, P.C.
