Job Summary

The Director of Pharmacy Informatics is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of pharmacy informatics services across Harris Health. This role ensures the integration of technology to optimize medication use processes, enhances patient safety, and improves overall healthcare delivery. The Director will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy information systems, collaborating closely with pharmacy, IT, informatics and clinical leadership to align pharmacy informatics initiatives with the organization's goals. The position will serve as a key advocate for leveraging data analytics and technology to advance clinical pharmacy practice.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees/School Education:
- Master's Degree (Preferred): Health Informatics, Business administration or related field
- Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution

Licenses & Certification
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Texas
- Certification in Pharmacy Informatics (Preferred)

Work Experience:
- Ten (10) Years Work Experience with Pharmacy informatics or clinical informatics within a healthcare environment, including 7 years implementing and managing pharmacy information systems (e.g. EPIC, Cerner, Pyxis, or similar systems), and 3 years practicing as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital setting.

Management Experience:
- Five (5) Years Work Experience with leading pharmacy informatics teams or interdisciplinary healthcare teams
